Economy minister: in 2007 inflation to keep under 8% in Belarus

In 2007, inflation will not exceed 8% in Belarus, economy minister of this country Nikolai Zaichenko has told a press conference today. “We can do it”, he underlined. In 2006, the inflation rate came to 6.6% in Belarus, the minister noted. "The real wages and cash incomes of the population will grow strictly within the projections”, Nikolai Zaichenko underlined. When answering a question of a BelTA correspondent the economy minister said that even more new jobs will be created this year than it has been planned. New jobs will be created within the framework of the government employment program and the program on developing middle and small towns.
