Alexander Lukashenko: Belarus Constitution is an important factor of peace and stability

The Belarusian Constitution is an important factor for consolidating the society, preserving the civil accord, peace and stability, reads a congratulation by Belarus president Alexander Lukashenko on the occasion of the Constitution Day. The president’s press service quoted Alexander Lukashenko’s message as saying, “The new Constitution of the young state has become a reliable basis for accomplishing consistent political, social and economic reforms. Dominating principles of the state sovereignty, the most important directions of the independent home and domestic policies have been legislatively secured!”. The head of state underlined, the Constitution had laid a solid legal foundation for building a genuinely democratic state in Belarus. “The principles of grass-roots democracy, the supremacy of law, ndivision of powers, and social justice declared by the Constitution have become the present day reality”, reads the congratulation. Alexander Lukashenko is confident, relying on the Constitution, Belarus will be able to withstand any trials with dignity and obtain a high European living standard of the nation. The president wished for the holiday to give strength and confidence to his fellow Belarusians in reaching the goals of building up the statehood of Belarus.
