Gomel-based confectionery factory SP OAO Spartak increased the output by 31% and export by 1.5 times in Q1 2023, Director General of the Spartak confectionery factory Tatiana Lisitsina said in an interview with the Economy of Belarus Magazine.
In 2022 Spartak was able to boost the output by 2,500 tonnes, sales revenue by 35%, net profit – three times. Good economic growth allowed the company to raise the average monthly salary by over 40%.
The company's export reach extends to more than 20 countries. The largest export market is the Russian Federation, with China going second.
In April the factory completed a large-scale investment project to launch a bar chocolate production line worth more than Br13 million. Thanks to the the new line, with the capacity of over 5,140 tonnes per year, the factory will start the production of thin chocolate, an import-substituting product for gourmets.
